Our research group actively participated in the Chemistry for the Future CFF2026 conference, held at the University of Pisa from 1–3 July 2026, contributing to the vibrant scientific exchange that brought together young researchers working across a broad range of chemical sciences.
Group members Costanza Paccagnini, Laura Spagnuolo, Matteo Cei, and Cicely Warne presented their research during the poster sessions, showcasing the diversity of topics and expertise within our team.
A special highlight of the conference was the recognition received by our undergraduate student Costanza Paccagnini, who was awarded one of the three Best Poster Awards, sponsored by the Società Chimica Italiana - Sezione Toscana.
The award recognizes the scientific quality of her work, entitled “Circularly polarized lasing cavities using cellulose nanocrystals as polarization-selective reflectors” and the effectiveness of her presentation, representing an important achievement at the beginning of her research career. Costanza’s work is the fruit of the collaboration between the NanoLeaves Lab, the CDLab@Pisa, and the Deparment of Physics of the University of Pisa, highlighting the value of interdisciplinary research and teamwork.
We are particularly proud of this result, which reflects both Costanza’s dedication and the collaborative environment of our research group. The award is also a testament to the high level of research carried out by young scientists at the University of Pisa.
